Whist christmas shopping and feeling down the other day I decided to take a break and go grab a dry shampoo in Superdrug. Whilst in there I couldn’t resist the makeup isles. Usually i would rather save up for a more high end piece but with it being December I can’t justify getting myself anything so gave myself a small budget and thought I would give some cheaper pieces a go.
I am so impressed with the Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipsticks, they dry to a matte finish and are extremely long lasting. I went for a classic red (I don’t need anymore red lipsticks but can’t stop myself) in Red-volution and a purple berry colour, the star of the show plum plum girl.
I have been using cream highlighters rather than powder but couldn’t resist picking the MUA one i was drawn to how iridescent it is and reminds me strangely of the moon. It’s very pigmented and looks great over the top of a cream highlighter to give it extra beam.
I never ever use Blush, shock horror. But read great reviews about this max factor blush in Gorgeous Berries and really wanted to give it ago, after two applications I am seriously in love and now a blush convert.
I picked up a pen eyeliner, I never use pen but instead opt for a liquid eyeliner with dip pot (is that a thing? what do you call it?) and i do prefer them still over the pen as find they’re very dry.
I was going to buy an Anastasia dipbrow but for a third of the price picked this Freedom Pro Brow Pommade up.I have never heard of the brand before but they do many brow products and offer a wide shade and colour range. I can never usually find the perfect colour for my brows as the products are always too warm but this is perfect, I got the shade Ash Brown and it is exactly my colour with cooler undertones.
I forgot to get the Dry shampoo!!
Thank you very much for reading, Let me know what you think.
